Is there any rukhsah for female doing hifzul quraan that she will can be allowed to recite quraan as normal in their haiz as she is in her learning process and many of them have their periods number of days and they are unable to pray any quraan in these days.. no sabaq or sabaq para or dour.. if this keeps happening they forget what ever little they have learnt and Hifz becomes extremely difficult..and it goes on for years and many also get put of after sometime . If its allowed then its very easy for them...also is it allowed by any other imaam!!
Its only recitation not to touching the quraan as they can open with the help of some one or a object...the reason im asking is some1 told me that lately ulama have given ijaazah for this jazaakumullohu khayra

In the Name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful.
As-salamu’alaykum wa-rahmatullahi wa –barakatuh.
According to the Hanafi Mazhab (school of thought) it is impermissible for a woman in Haidh (menstrual period) to recite Quraan.[1] Consider the following Ahadeeth:
لَا تَقْرَأُ الْحَائِضُ الْقُرْآنَ
A woman in Haidh (menstruation) should not recite Quraan (Musannaf ibne Abi Shaibah, Vol. 1, Pg. 98, Maktabatur Rushd-Riyaadh)
لَا تَقْرَأِ الْحَائِضُ وَلَا النُّفَسَاءُ مِنَ الْقُرْآنِ شَيْئًا
A woman who is her Haidh (menstruation) and Nifaas (child birth bleeding) should not recite anything from Quraan (Sunane Daarre Quthni, Vol. 2, Pg. 462, Muassissatur Risaalah-Beirut-Lebanon)
A woman who is her Haidh (menstruation) and a person who is in the state of Janaabat (major impurity) should not recite anything from Quraan except a portion of a verse or a letter or something like that. (Tirmidhi, Vol. 1, Pg. 195, Daarul Qarbul Islaami-Beirut)
However, you may consider the following options in order to keep up the memorization of the Quraan:
1. Looking inside the Qur’an without reading the Quraan or touching the Qur’an.
2. Listening to someone reading the Quraan.
3. Using lip movement without uttering the words of Quraan.
It is hoped that the above methods will assist in keeping up the memorization process of Holy Quraan.

In the Name of Allāh, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful.
As-salāmu ‘alaykum wa-rahmatullāhi wa-barakātuh.
In principle, a woman in haid (menstruation) is not permitted to recite the Qur’ān whether from memory, using a copy of the Qur’ān or an electronic device.[1] This prohibition is clearly stated in a hadīth. Rasūlullah (sallāhu ‘alayhi wa sallam) has stated:
لاَ تَقْرَأِ الحَائِضُ، وَلاَ الجُنُبُ شَيْئًا مِنَ القُرْآنِ
Translation: A woman who is her haid (menstruation) and a person who is in the state of janābat (major impurity) should not recite anything from Qur’ān.[2]
However, it is permissible for a woman in menstruation to engage in dhikr and du‘ā’.[3] As such, she may recite those verses of the Qur’ān which are in the context of a du‘ā’, such as Sūrah Fātihah, Āyat al-Kursī, etc. However, the intention should be of du‘ā’ and not to recite the Qur’ān.[4]

Question:
My question is regarding reciting Quran in the form of Dua while a woman is in her periods. Is it permissible to recite Surah Fatiha, Ayat al-Kursi, and the 4 Quls before sleeping while a woman is menstruating? Would it make a difference if she read out loud or if she just recited it in her hear (non-verbally)?
Answer:
In the Name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful.
As-salāmu ‘alaykum wa-rahmatullāhi wa-barakātuh.
It is permissible for a female experiencing her menstrual cycle to recite Surah Fātihah, Ayat al-Kursi and the 4 Quls (Surah Kāfirūn, Surah Ikhlās, Surah Falaq, and Surah Nās) with the intention of Duā and not with the intention of merely reciting Qurān. The intention should be purely of Duā. [i]
The prohibition of reciting the Qurān for a female experiencing her menstrual cycle is when the verses are recited verbally. If the verses are recited in the heart without the movement of the tongue, then this is permissible regardless of the intention.[ii]

Can a women touch the ma’riful Quran in English whilst on her menstrual cycle
ReplyDeleteYes in English you are allowed to because you are not touching the actual Quran with the Arabic verses
ReplyDeleteHowever if there is Arabic verses alongside the English then the menstruating women is not allowed to touch it or recite the Quran while menstruating
